I'm having a problem with my transition to Monarch Money, and after many exchanges with a Customer Support person I'm really frustrated. Perhaps someone else who is using this tool can shed some light on my problem...
One of the things I relied on with Mint was to view "Bills" to see what upcoming recurring payments were approaching, particularly credit card autopayments. I preferred to keep most of our cash in a 5% or so account then transfer what was needed to our checking account in advance of particularly large upcoming autopayments.
Monarch Money has "Recurring" functionality that I thought would show me similar information to Mint's "Bills", but I'm tearing out my hair because just two autopayments out of three show up. I've gone back and forth with Customer Support, the first 2 or 3 times because the person couldn't seem to understand what I wanted. I was initially advised to delete all Recurring Merchants except for credit cards if I only wanted to see Credit Card payments. Now she is telling me to change the expense category on the card that isn't showing up from "Credit Card Payment" to "Expense". All three cards are currently set up as "Credit Cards" and the expense category as "Credit Card Payment", so that is obviously not the problem. I even went to their automated assistant and asked the question and logically the answer was that this is correct so that expenses are not double-counted.
The Customer Service person also informed me that the "Bills" functionality from Mint is part of Monarch Money's product roadmap... even though it looks like "Recurring" is the same thing, it just isn't working for one of my three cards.
Has anyone else experienced this?
