Greetings BH!

We want about $500,000 in 3 years for a remodel. I was looking for some inputs from the BH community.

I’m 46 and DW is 41

Gross household income - $300,000 yearly
401k - $390,000
VTI - $300,000
HSA - $60,000
IRA - $20,000
Savings - $40,000
DW has a retirement account - $60,000
529 - $140,000 (2 kids in elementary)

Monthly income (take home) - $15,000

Monthly expense -
Mortgage - $4000
Grocery/kid sport/everything else - $5000
Current mortgage - $520,000

We have overseas house and property (hereditary) and plan to retire after 60s there.

We want to remodel the house in US and give it to kids after we retire.

What is the best way to raise some cash of about $500,000 in 3 years. I was hoping to make use of VTI for the remodel while aggressively saving. Is it doable? Is it worth doing it?
Appreciate any response!
