IB want me to send documentation showing my net worth has been derived from the source of wealth I (truthfully) declared.
Has this happened to anybody else?
This will be impossible to provide, as gambling winnings were largely in cash, and online accounts have since been closed.
The winnings have also been unevenly distributed, as one might expect, and over a period of about 15 years.
The winnings were all deposited into a high street bank before then being transferred to IB if that has any significance.
Edit: I recently deposited a large amount of EUR to avail of their cheap FX fees, before withdrawing it in GBP - I imagine this has triggered the check.
They also specifically ask to show the source of funds deposited for this, which is not a problem as it is very recent.
