But it's interesting that the 10y TIPS real rate historically since 2000, has no correlation to CPI rate.
Maybe that is primarily because of central bank involvement with interest rates - even how it affects the 10y TIPS real rate?
I'm wondering how I can predict the real rate yield vs CPI.
I saw that it appears as in matttproud 's recent post, that his corr plot between the two shows the same. And that real rate avg'd or clustered around 0.5% , CPI avg'd/clustered around 2%.
In other words, I really don't know when real rates will be higher or lower, just that they're reasonably high now.
