I have a very trustworthy Civic but it's getting old (2006 LX) and will need some work soon. I need access to another car while I repair the Civic. So I am considering getting a used Prius. My budget is $15K which I will pay in cash. Carmax has many in that price, but they are all 2015 or before with at least 100K miles on them. Is this a good idea?
Those 15K were saved very diligently and I don't want to end up in a situation where the batteries break down soon after I buy the car. I would appreciate any pointers from those who have owned used Priuses.
These cars are definitely holding their value. I would have expected a lot less money for a 2015 model year which is now nearly a decade old.
