So I realized I made an error in calculating the cost basis on some old stocks I sold. I filled my taxes last week and when doing my annual "how am I doing review" I caught it. It isn't huge, but will likely increase my capital gains taxes by a few hundred dollars. I know I need to file a 1040x. My questions are.
1. Can I do this via turbotax- I think I can
2. Should I wait for my return to be processed? on the IRS.gov site it says it hasn't been processed yet (It was accepted within 30 minutes of me submitting)
anything else I need to know? I really want to do it by April 15 to avoid any unforeseen issues
Thanks
