I am hoping to use my Wise card and account as source of cash while traveling in Asia. I have set up my 2FA so that it defaults to Google Authenticator. However, the main menu allows anyone logging in to bypass that approach and to use SMS text verification instead. This raises the concern that a SIM swap could enable someone to access my account.
An exchange of messages with their "help" team hasn't helped. As a result, I'm posting here to find out whether anyone experienced a similar concern and was able to address it by disabling the SMS text verification option.
Any other comments or suggestions on the security of the Wise account are more than welcome.
