It was a long and, at times, frustrating road dealing with all of the bureaucratic stuff that it took to get The John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy up and running as Jack had asked me to do. Our paperwork got caught up in the politics of an election year as well as other issues (the IRS thought we were a political group). However, with help and persistence from my team and several volunteer Boglehead lawyers, we eventually got all of the i's dotted and t's crossed. We got the by-laws written as well as all of the other 101 things necessary to get final approval as an IRS 501c3 charity done.
