I have to get oral surgery this Friday. At my consultation, they informed me they do NOT accept my dental insurance (the dental insurance I have is awful) so that wasn’t a surprise. They also said my procedure is dental in nature, so medical insurance wouldn’t cover it either. They gave me an estimate of $3300. Procedure is taking place in the office, not a hospital.
I have to get a cyst removed that’s in my jaw, attached to the tip of the root of my tooth.
My question. How do I pay this? I have the physical cash ready to go. Do I walk in and hand them cash? Do I ask if they offer a discount for immediate cash payment? Do I put the cash in my checking account and use my credit card and pay the bill as soon as it comes in? Do I write them a check? I’ve never had surgery before or been hospitalized..so this is new for me. Appreciate any advice!
