Hey Bogleheads,
I’ve been dollar cost averaging in part of my fixed income portfolio allotment into longer term issues of treasuries and tips recently.
Today I found 20 year FHL agency bond with a 6.5% coupon selling at just over par (100.611) with a YTM of 6.444.
The problem is that it is callable after 9/18.
Do any of you have any experience of how often these agency bonds are actually called?
Im thinkin if i can get a few “years” of 6.5% it may be a good thing to do with part of my fixed income portfolio allocation.
Seeking opinions!
