Due to hyperaggressive and ill-informed options and futures trading, I (and DS) have accumulated capital loss carryover in excess of 900k. Learning from the past lessons, we have saved and have saved more than $1M with no other liabilities that is sitting in high yield savings accounts (>5% APY at the moment). The savings are taxable and we cant use the carryover loss for the interest, so I am wondering what is a good choice to invest the savings to get the tax benefit.
Also, do people recommend a good investment advisor? Our unfortunate journey started with a bad advisor at wells fargo many years ago, and following that I invested the money with even poorer choice myself. TIA for any suggestions!
