We recently started a new Covered California (ACA) plan - Blue Shield of California (Bronze PPO).
Scheduled for a colonoscopy next week, and my doctor says due to my sleep apnea I will need full sedation with an anesthesiologist present.
I know preventative care like screenings are free, but will I have to pay for the anesthesiologist? We just started this plan and have not met any of the high deductible yet.
Also wondering if Blue Shield will pay for the removal of polyps if any are found, since the procedure then becomes diagnostic instead of a screening.
