Went into Vanguard to do an exchange and it appears that I can do a multi-fund exchange in the brokerage interface. The site used to send you to the “full experience”, aka the old interface, to do that.
Like the old interface, you can do M -> 1 or 1 -> N transactions, but not an M -> N transaction. The latter isn’t possible because the system resolves the multi-fund transaction into a group of 1 -> 1 transactions, which is complicated for M -> N. (They could just dump the cash from the sales into the settlement fund and then do the buys from there, but haven’t gone that route for some reason. Not taking full advantage of the settlement fund.)
Good to see Vanguard continuing to add functionality to the new interface and not have to switch back to the old interface for that capability.
