Personal Investments • ETFs or high yield savings account

Hi folks,

I have about $225k sitting in my checking account that I would like to get a return on. This is after $50K that I'm keeping for emergency funds.

I might need some of that money in the next year or so to buy a second house for investment purposes. Since this will be an investment property I have some flexibility there.

Separately, in my brokerage account, I have invested around $30k in VOO and $10K in VUG and some individual stocks. So looking for advice on where to invest where my assets will grow without being too risky. Any ETFs? Should I buy new or add to my position in VOO/VUG? Should I look for diversification? Any thoughts on VUSXX? Should I just try to find a high yield savings option?

TIA.
