Just curious. I notice that some ETF's have "ETF Trust" in their names. Some examples: SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (QQQ), and iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT).
Does inclusion of the word "trust" simply reflect a marketing decision, or does it denote a more substantive difference from a standard ETF?
BTW, not meaning to talk about crypto.
