Personal Consumer Issues • Maverick-like vehicles for $45,000 with great audio?

So I was very interested in a Ford Maverick, the combination of hybrid drive on a compact truck body was ideal for my purposes. One of my must-haves in a vehicle is an excellent sound system, whether it be stock or something I do aftermarket. So seeing the option for a "premium" sound upgrade from Bang & Olufsen for the Mav I thought this would be an easy choice... until I got to demo it. Even with the "premium" upgrade, the audio in the Maverick could be described as mediocre at best. What little bass exists rattles the panels and the highs are muted.

"Never to fear!", I thought... I'll just throw in some aftermarket parts and sound dampening material behind the door panels. Well... looking at Crutchfield, they recommend against that as apparently hybrid vehicles aren't keen on high-draw amps and the Maverick head unit is marked as integral to the vehicle.



So, does anyone have any suggestions as to vehicles that are similar to the Maverick but have excellent audio or the capability for easily upgrading the stock audio? I might just skip the hybrid powertrain in favor of a stock gas engine Maverick, but it does feel a little silly to not invest in a hybrid vehicle in 2024-2025 so any suggestions that stay hybrid are welcome. Budget ceiling is $45,000.
