Personal Consumer Issues • Any Google Analytics or SEO traffic experts here?

I built a web app that lets users chat with a "longevity healthbot" that only references high impact, evidence-based medical journals for its responses. It's working really well, and I'm floored by the amount of interest my users have in it. However, I cannot determine where they are coming from. "Back in the day", I would use Google Analytics and it would have direct external links to the traffic site (I would be able to click those links and directly go to the source of the traffic). However, it seems that times have changed (due to privacy reasons?) and that is no longer allowed? Now, all you can see is the main top level domain for the traffic source (ie, www.DOMAIN.com and NOT www.DOMAIN.com/blog/post-topic).

Is there no way to get a direct URL to the traffic source where the user is linking to my site?

Thanks!
