We know a great strategy is just to buy VTI, VXUS, and BND. We also know it can be great to sprinkle in other equity indices like VUG, VEA, VWO, VIG, VYM, etc.
Given the higher interest rates, I'm starting to take a serious look at my bond allocation, which has been simply BND. To those of you that have a more complicated bond portfolio, what other ETFs (or TIPS or money market funds, etc) do you like and why? Do they offer better risk/reward? Or give you some sort of important exposure that BND doesn't provide enough of? Should I bother with BNDX and VWOB (and others)?
