Our bushes out front had gotten way out of hand, deer-eaten, and overgrown. Looked like a mess. So we just had a landscape company rip all that out, build a couple low stone walls, and fill in the beds with soil and mulch. Ready for us to plant. Question is, with what?
This is on the north side of our house, close to the house, in front of a bay window in our living room. Northeastern US, USDA zone 5/6a. Lot's of deer who eat just about anything. We'd like plants native to our region as much as possible. Some low shrubs and some perennial wildflowers. Favorable for pollinators--we really want to feed the bees.
Suggestions?
Thanks.
