I am about to start investing in my Schwab accounts, and I'm looking at implementing a 3 fund portfolio. I am a beginner investor.
I'm feeling confident with VTI for US stocks, but for bonds what would be the pluses and minuses to BND vs SCHO vs SCHZ (all .03% ER).
For International stocks, I am looking at VXUS (.08 ER) vs SCHF (0.06 ER). I know SCHF is concentrated in developed countries while VXUS includes 25% emerging markets.
Are there others I should be looking at? How am I supposed to pick them as a beginner?
