Hi everyone,
We're planning to send my wife's parents on a retirement/thank you trip to show our appreciation for all their support over the years. They know it's coming and are excited to take this trip -- which we are thrilled about! Both of them are the kind of people that will continually give and give without wanting anything in return. It's more than time for them to be spoiled.
They are in their early 70s, still relatively agile (though my MIL has had both knees replaced), and are open and excited about the idea of visiting Iceland. We thought a package tour through a reputable company might be the best option, and we've been looking at National Geographic expeditions.
Has anyone here been on a National Geographic expedition tour? If so, what was your experience like? Specifically, we're interested in any feedback about their Iceland trips. How was the itinerary, accommodations, and overall experience?
If there are any other ideas or recommendations for similar trips or companies, we're open to those as well.
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
