Where can I find (and vet) a financial advisor, who is paid by the hour rather than through commissions or account fees.
What are some good questions to ask them to determine how their portfolio re-balancing / portfolio suggestions have panned out over the years for their clients?
Is there anything else I should consider? I've thought of "retirement target-date mutual funds" but I've heard they don't perform that well, which is unfortunate as that really would be an ideal solution for me as I'm looking to simplify.
I currently invest in index funds but I am not good with proper portfolio balancing/re-balancing and would prefer to hire someone periodically advise me on this and as a sanity check.
EDIT: I'm also considering robo-investing services such as Wealthfront
Thanks
