My husband got admitted for a heart related problem and got a pacemaker implant today. He is still in recovery and hopefully I can bring him home tomorrow if he is ready to be discharged.
This made me think of the Advance Medical Directive that we both completed as part of the process of establishing a Trust with our attorney.
When and how do we get our directive in the right hands? Give it our primary care doctor? Will it go online with all our other data so it can be accessed by a hospital if we end up there in an emergency? What have you done with yours?
