Personal Consumer Issues • Gift ideas for adult sibling to share with grandkids ages 6 and 8

I will give a sibling a birthday check but would like to try to also give another gift they (including sibling's spouse, potentially) could use with their grandkids. So, I am thinking of maybe some sort of gift that could be done together over time that would, ideally, be "educational" in nature.

Any cool gifts kids got this year that might fit the bill?
