I have a huge jar of coins from various countries, left over currency that has accumulated over the last 20+ years of travels. I haven't bothered to do anything about it but i'm moving and was wondering what is the best way to donate these that can use the full value of these currencies rather than doing something like using it as scrap metal for instance. 99% of the coins should still be legal tender in the respective country but 1% may be from countries that have migrated to the Euro and no longer use that currency. Of course, it would need to be a place that can automatically sort the currencies out. Any such place? Or is this just worth scrap metal?
