I just spent over an hour on the Ohio Income Tax site trying to set up my 2024 estimated tax payments. My Ohio 2023 tax return was previously submitted through TurboTax and accepted. TurboTax provides mail-in forms with your estimated tax amounts, but I prefer to set up ACH payments from my bank.
The first time around I missed the notice that they have deleted all accounts created before September 2023. Now I had to create a new account which among other things involved 5 emails and 4 text messages. I finally got re-logged in and after a while located the make estimated payments form. After re-entering all my personal information I was finally able to schedule my April 15 estimated tax payment.
Ohio used to let you pre-schedule all four of your yearly estimated tax payments, but I was unable to find a way to accomplish this. Did I miss something or do I now have to remember to log in and make each individual payment?
