For several years a 2005 F150 truck has not taken on fuel well. The flow has to be really slow, held by hand, in order to fill up. On any of the click and walk away settings the thing trips. I've known for a bit that there is a charcoal vapor canister with a vent that can become clogged. Took the vehicle to a mechanic, have removed this canister as there are no replacements, left the valve open to air. The filling slowly problem has not improved. We can blow compressed air into the tack and feel it coming out the tubing. I can visually inspect the inlet and notice no problem. I've stuck a plumbing gadget down about 18 inches, no blockage detected.
I'm now seeking outside counsel here. Any ideas?
I dislike and distrust my local dealership.
