I've been in my employer HSA for several years. Today I noticed that line 13 "HSA Deduction" from form 8889 from my 2022 tax filing says 0 even though both myself and employer contributed to it. I think I contributed 1800 and employer 1000. Why would like 13 indicate no HSA Deduction? I used TurboTax and feel I would have entered the correct information.
Does this maybe mean I contributed the HSA pretax so it was already factored into my income? Or did I screw up my taxes and didn't get a deduction for my pretax HSA contributions? If it matters I received the standard deduction last year too.
