Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Is Chase Sapphire Reserve still worth it? Or cancel and get Sapphire Preferred?

Cost is $550- used to be $450.
It seems like they offer less airlines than in the past. When I was looking for a nonstop flight TPA-LAS, the only airlines that fly nonstop are Southwest and Spirit, and the only direct flight is with Breeze.
None of those airlines offer flights any more through the portal. I booked RT nonstop one way with Spirit and direct with Breeze on their respective websites, for a total of about $200., but I wound up paying cash.
The best flights I could find via the Chase portal all involved at least one stop and cost a minimum of $338 (Delta). Even with the 50% bonus by paying with points that comes to less than $.01/point.
Also, it seems like, when booking hotels, there are often additional charges tacked on to the base fares (and only major hotel chains are usually options).

I am thinking of downgrading to Sapphire Preferred when my annual fee is due. Or better....canceling Reserve and signing up for Preferred, saving $155/year after the $300 travel reimbursement, and getting signup bonus points. That is, if you can cancel Reserve and still get the bonus points by signing up for Preferred at the same time if you are within 5/24 rules. I forget if they let you do that.

Thoughts?
