Personal Investments • Involuntary closing of an IRA

I found that I could not access my Edward Jones accounts summary online. After some back and forth I discovered that the access was locked because of account changes. My advisor said that they closed one of my IRA. I did not request it and was given an explanation that because it only had $100 in the account and they did not want to charge me the $75 service fee. The big issue, to me, is that the account had 100k in fixed rated CD’s that had a 12 month maturity. They that it was an error by them because they were looking at a cash report and based this on their decision to close the account. They said that they were unaware that there was 100k in the account at the time and then said that the value was automatically transferred to my other IRA without their knowledge. I have not been given any statement that reflects this transfer. They claim that it has been corrected within minutes again without my written or verbal consent and no documentation has been provided. Has there been any misconduct?
