High level: I would like to simplify my approach. After inheriting some accounts in 2020, I made a lot of reckless ETF/stock purchases at the market height. I need to withdraw the inherited funds by 2030. I would ultimately like a simple long term approach for all my accounts, minimal ETFs with some room to play around with individual stocks and gamble a bit in the future.
1. When is the right time and approach to cut losses and consolidate on inherited accounts? I want to lower my risk for these accounts for the remaining 6 year horizon and maintain a somewhat aggressive approach for my overall retirement.
2. Is there an easy way to estimate how much annually would I need to contribute to withdraw 80K per year at 50, 55, 60, 65?
3. Looking at the wiki, it looks like my brokerages don't address tax-efficiency well. Any help there would be appreciated.
4. I would like to buy a home in CA, $600-800K in the next 5-10 years, household income is roughly 210K pre-tax/contributions. How can I use the brokerage effectively and plan my finances accordingly?
Thank you in advance for reading and responding, I will answer any questions as soon as possible.
Emergency funds: Yes
Debt: No
Tax Status: Filing Jointly (wife just started career and life in America, virtually no retirement contribution to account for)
Tax Rate: Fed 22% State:9.3%
State: CA
Age: 33
Desired Asset Allocation: 80/20
Desired International Allocation: I've shied away from direct international exposure (out of performance during the 2010's bull market in my accounts). However open to more exposure in a simplified strategy, but not educated on it.
