Personal Investments • ? About 1099-nec

So I’m a salesman , I receive a base salary plus commission , base paid weekly and commission monthly .
In the past I have received 2000.00 a month not taxed as “ expense “ check
I would give off setting receipts , meals , cell phone etc to cover the 2000
Now I just received my 1099 and included is a 1099-next
Never have seen this before .
So am I to believe that the 24k I received last Lear that I submitted receipts for will now be taxed at my full rate ??
Nobody ever said anything to me about this …
I’m not real pleased if this is the case.
If that’s how they are going to do it I’d rather they just increase my commission by 2k a month and tax it like normal ..
I guess it looks like now my out of pocket expenses for fuel , car , phone etc I’m being taxed on reimbursement ???
