I'm approaching my first year of rebalancing my investments. I'm seeking advice on how often i should rebalance my portfolio.
I was reading Jack Bogles The Little Book of Common Sense Investing. On page 231, he stated a portfolio that is never rebalanced is likely to provide higher long term returns than a portfolio that is periodically rebalanced.
Majority of my investments are in a taxable account. Rebalancing quarterly, bi - annually, or annually are taxable events.
My asset allocation is 54% - VTSAX , 36% - VTIAX, and 10% - VMFXX.
Should i dollar cost average into my desired asset allocation, re-invest the dividends, and never rebalance my portfolio?
