Our son's high school offers a "College in High School" program where certain classes allow students to earn college credits through a university the high school partners with. These credits are transferable and are offered at a much lower cost that what it would cost to take the equivalent course in college.
My questions to the forum are...
Does anyone know if a 529 can be used to pay for something like this (earning college credits while still in high school)? Enrollment is through the partner university, and payment will be made to them.
Does a 529 work like an HSA? In other words, can I pay for this with a check, credit card, etc. and reimburse myself from the 529?
Thanks in advance for any responses! This is the first opportunity we may have to actually use the funds in the 529, so any insight is appreciated.
