I have looked through other threads here and done a significant amount of googling on this subject but wanted to get some ideas from folks here:
1) Our crawl space has pretty high humidity over a long period > 80%.
2) The crawl space is vented to the outside and in the PNW the external RH is fairly high. About 95% today.
3) The crawl space is sealed using .006 millimeter black plastic, overlapped and seam taped. The plastic leads up the walls of the crawl space. No insulation on walls on floors.
4) I have not yet measured humidity on floor joists.
Questions:
1) In terms of remediation, do you suggest a crawl space compamy, foundation company or insulation company?
2) Any ideas on why there is such a high RH in spite of sealing?
thanks
