We have over $200K in the BND fund (since 2022). It has done poorly, of course, but has been increasing and will continue to increase with the projected interest rate reduction this month. After running through Backtest it appears the FBND would benefit us much more, as they also invest up to 20% of assets in lower-quality debt securities which BND does not. Is it worth switching at this point in time? If I did this, I would buy FBND now and then sell BND once the rate cut happens (if it happens). Or is it foolish to sell BND for a 1% increase in performance? Thank you in advance. PS - we are retired but just reinvesting at this time.
