Can anyone give me some guidance on the necessity of an IRA determination letter prior to opening a solo 401k? I’m attempting to open a solo 401k with Schwab to rollover funds from my old employer’s plan and make future contributions to. (I have a LLC of which I’m the only employee). I called Schwab and the phone representative didn’t know any more than I did. If you use an established plan through a larger brokerage like Schwab, Fidelity, etc, do you have to apply for an IRS determination letter or is that already inclusive with the cookie-cutter plan at the brokerage?
Thanks
Thanks
