I decided to start moving some of my T-bill ladders from Treasury Direct to Fidelity. I just attempted to buy my first 13 week T-bill at Fidelity. I purchased it under the tab "new issues" but now that I'm checking the CUSIP what I actually got was a 26 month T-bill originally issued in October. 2 questions:
1) What should I be checking before purchase to ensure I will be getting a new issue T-bill?
2) Since I requested auto roll, is Fidelity going to reinvest this T-bill as a 13 week T-bill or a 26 week T-bill? If it turns out to be the latter then I want to cancel the auto roll and buy a 13 week T-bill in April.
