I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen this happen with this 401k - this time, a notice from Vanguard saying the Target Retirement Trust Plus will be replaced by the Target Retirement Trust Select (the other times have been similar, I believe with the words plus and select replaced by something similar). The notice from Vanguard makes it sound like everything is essentially the same, except it will cost about $1 less per $10k of investment. I realized I don't really understand why they do this - there must be some reason they'd go to all the trouble of changing the fund? Can someone smarter than me 'splain it?
