Hi I’m a 40 year old moderately aggressive investor.
Most of my assets are in low cost stock index funds in retirement accounts.
I also have Roth and 529s for kids and a smaller brokerage account.
As I expand the brokerage account and get older, I wonder what if any value some noncorrelated assets like gold or TIPS or I bonds are to a middle aged person in my wealth range and age?
Also I do value simplicity
Thanks
