Personal Finance (Not Investing) • New Retirement Planning (NRP) Software

I have about 5 hours of playing with the full version under my belt

The program is well organized and easy to get going. Where numbers did not make sense to me, there is no table to help follow along
There is a manual that is good but not great. If the manual did not resolve my question, there is no user community or service I could use.

Most annoying to me, and the reason I will not continue with the software, is the lack of ability to see numbers in today's money. Due to this 'black box' presentation, it is easiest to use for comparison of final account values under different what-if scenarios. One feature I thought was great was a choice whether to use 2017 tax brackets from 2026 onwards

My motivation to try out this program has to do with my Roth conversion plan -- I want a second opinion. NRP has an optimizer that lets the user choose between least tax, greatest end account value, or maximum tax bracket as the guiding force. You can also manually put in a series of Roth conversions. Due to the quirk of only reporting future dollars I think the greatest end account value is the one to use, although the user must account for themselves the value of an IRA dollar Vs a Roth Vs a Post-tax dollar. So far, the wizard and I agree on conversions up to the start of RMD but not so much after that.
