My wife is new to the world of Medicare choices, so I bought her the AARP 'Medicare for Dummies' book and suggested she read the BH Wiki.
We were going over the summary table in the Wiki and I realized that she did not understand it, and I had misunderstood its intent on the first reading. It IS hard to put that much complication into one table, even with the helpful notes. As an aide to the table, I came up with this:
'Everybody' who is retired gets Part A, and can then elect Part D; they may also elect Part C XOR Part B. Those who elect Part B may also choose one Medigap plan
I didn't try to cover every possibility, just the choices Joe and Jane average encounter. Any logic flaws ? Can it be written with better clarity and brevity ?
