Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Purchase of Practice?

I am wondering if there are sources of information to which you may direct my attention.

I am a clinical psychologist. I have four other partners with whom I own a practice that employs ten additional therapists and that specializes in a specific form of psychotherapy.

We had started our specialized therapy program at a local hospital. Stemming from that program, my partners and I formed our current practice together nearly twenty years ago. The hospital has recently come back to us with an invitation to collaborate. While the collaboration could be small (sharing trainees, etc.), there is a possibility of a more substantive collaboration that might include the offer to purchase our practice by the hospital system. So far, there has only been an initial meeting.

Are there resources that might help us to learn how not to misstep in negotiations and to learn about what we do not yet know? We have thrived compared to other psychotherapy practices and after twenty years perhaps have more business acumen than the average psychologist, but there is plenty that we can still learn (and may need to learn). Any advice, things to read, lessons learned from Boglehead members in medical fields, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks.
