Hello, looking at splitting up emergency fund a bit more to maximize yields over time:
- 1/3 VUSXX Money Market Fund - already invested
- 1/3 IBonds - current funds I have in IBonds are already past the 1 year mark
- 1/3 VGSH short term treasury ETF to take advantage of the nice yield for longer if money market VUSXX fund starts to lessen with possible upcoming rate cuts.
- 5-10k liquid cash at bank
In particular wondering what your thought our on VGSH for part of the emergency fund? I would reserve this pot of money for longer term expenses.
I live in a state with no income tax.
Thank you!
