Greetings All.
We own a home in Pennsylvania and have insurance through Liberty Mutual. In recent years, our premiums have increased at inordinate rates.
To be specific, our annual premiums have been:
2022: $1620
2023: $2122 (+31%)
2024: $3023 (+42%)
2022 to 2024 = +87%.
I understand replacement and other costs have gone up, but an 87% premium increase in two years seems excessive. We carry auto and umbrella policies with Liberty as well. Is it time to fly the coop? Is it a quirk of living in Pennsylvania? We've been with Liberty many years and premium increases sometimes feel arbitrary. What are others experiencing?
