Personal Consumer Issues • Why brick and mortar banks have such poor customer serivce ratings

So laterly, I have notice that when I log into chase website, I get an error that some part of the site is not working or that the site is down for maintenance. I think having it down 50% of time I tried to use it is bad. The site indicated that I should try mobile, which does work. However, I usually login to pay bills and I hate doing this on the phone.

Unfortunately, the chase customer service simply said that I should try again later. When I complain that it's down a lot, the customer service didn't even bother responding. I was thinking that most brokerage would tell me that they will forward my complaints to the appropriate department. I wonder if banks has been losing business lately to brokerage and other Fintechs like Sofi. I do notice that my parents won't let go of their old school banks even if they are abused.

My credit union unfortunately aren't too much better either customer service-wise. Ironically, their website has been less problematic than Chase.
