We have two mostly mature peach trees in north GA which are in full bloom. We are projected to get about 12 hours of freezing weather Mon. night/Tue. morning, all the way down to 22 F. The trees are about 12 to 15' high and while I could get out there and wrap them with plastic, I honestly just don't have it in me today to do that. So, I'm thinking I'll get out there once the temp hits around 30 and turn on the sprinklers.
We actually do have several other young trees in bloom which we will wrap, probably with a 5-gallon bucket of water next to them, it is only the two mature trees that I'm thinking of putting the sprinklers on.
Anyone with experience who can provide feedback, I would appreciate it.
