My long-time tax preparer retired last year so I hired a new person this year. The previous preparer always provided a useful summary document showing our effective tax rate, comparisons to previous years and other details. It’s all information I could figure out myself but it was helpful to see it all on one page This year the returns were prepared and filed quickly but I received no communication from the preparer aside from confirmation the returns were filed. The fee was about the same for both preparers.
