This is specifically regarding term life polices, not whole or universal life products.
If a person has a medical condition that for the sake of this conversation is deemed uninsurable on the private market, other than employer-provided guaranteed issue products, are there any additional options out there?
My employer provides G.I. term life which is portable (luckily) on the off-chance I seek alternative employment, but given our needs, I'm curious if there are any other group programs or policies to look into.
While most people don't have to worry about this, it is a significant concern and stressor of those living with "pre-existing" conditions.
