Hi all. I’m new to this forum, in fact this is the first time I have posted on any forum. I think I am getting a bit over my head in managing these funds and am looking for some advice and/or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Questions:
1.The retirement funds listed are managed by Vanguard and the taxable funds are self-managed. One problem is that Vanguard will balance their portion of the assets without regard to the funds I manage. With this set up I don’t think I am getting the proper balance with regards to stocks vs. bonds/cash or the best tax efficiency. Is there any solution to this short of self-managing the entire portfolio?
2.Were I to self-manage both taxable and retirement funds, any recommendations as to funds and allocations?
3.I’m unclear as to the desirability of using ETF’s vs. Mutual Funds. Any rule of thumb with regards to retirement and taxable accounts?
4.In the self-managed account I elected to use Money Market funds rather than bond funds as interest rates rose. This seems to have worked out, but with likely steady or falling interest rates might it be time to switch back to bond funds for the long haul?
5. Is there a class of investment advisor who recommends only Vanguard funds and acts more as an portfolio advisor then a manager? I would be interested in finding such a person in the San Francisco Bay Area.
